Do players need to install an app?

No. Windkeeper runs in the phone browser, so players scan the QR code at the table and start playing without installing anything.

Can Windkeeper run on a venue TV?

Windkeeper can run on a venue TV. It has a TV display mode and runs in the browser of a 2018 Samsung TV (Tizen 4).

Which rule sets does Windkeeper support?

Windkeeper supports four rule sets: Hong Kong (HKMA with a house points table), Indonesian J2 (rulebook v5), Riichi, and MCR (Chinese Official 2014). Each rule set has its own scoring engine.

Can Windkeeper use our venue's own rules?

Yes. Besides Hong Kong, J2, Riichi and MCR, we can set up custom rules and a points table for your venue through a custom quote.

Can Windkeeper scores be exchanged for money?

No. Windkeeper records points only, and Windkeeper points cannot be exchanged for money or goods.

Does Windkeeper include POS, food ordering, bookings or tournaments?

No. Windkeeper does not include POS, F&B ordering, bookings, tournaments or member cards.

Can I try Windkeeper before paying?

Yes. Windkeeper offers a free one-month trial with no credit card, so your venue can use every feature before paying.

Can one Windkeeper account manage several venues?

Not yet. Windkeeper does not support several venues in one account today, and multi-venue support is in progress.

What happens to past scores when a rulebook changes?

Windkeeper includes tooling to rescore past games when a rulebook version changes.
